I really recommend RetroClassic and Richard if you are in the market for a high quality classic or sports car. The beautiful Porsche 911 C4S that I bought from him (remotely without seeing in person) exceeded all of my expectations. The car arrived in absolutely pristine condition inside, outside and mechanically. Communication with Richard during the pre and post sales process was fast and easy. All in all a fantastic exterience with RetroClassic and I highly recommend.

I had been looking for a VW California with a particular specification for quite a while without success. Richard came highly recommended and while this is a more modern vehicle than his core business, he kindly agreed to try and source one for me. After discussing my needs and requirements Richard began the search. The vehicle that he managed to source far exceeded my expectations both in terms of specification and condition. At the outset I thought this process would take months but it was concluded in a matter of weeks with Richard keeping me updated on progress throughout. I decided to collect the vehicle from Richard. He advised me on the best airport options and collected me on the day. We went through the paperwork for the vehicle over a coffee before he took me through the features and functions of the camper. Richard is very genuine, very responsive and a true professional. It was a pleasure to deal with him and I hope to be able to do so again in the future.

I recently made the bold decision to purchase a 1984 Porsche 911 G Convertible without having seen the car in person. As any classic car enthusiast would tell you, this is usually a risky move, fraught with potential pitfalls. However, my experience turned out to be a rewarding and memorable one, thanks in large part to the extraordinary professionalism of Richard, the seller.

From the outset, Richard displayed a level of honesty and integrity that is rare in today’s market. He was upfront about every detail, both good and bad, regarding the car's condition. There was no sugar-coating or attempts to gloss over any of the imperfections that naturally come with a classic car of this age. Richard provided detailed descriptions, extensive photographs, and even video walkarounds, ensuring that I had a clear and accurate understanding of the Porsche's condition before making the purchase.

His transparency and patience were remarkable. He took the time to answer all my questions, no matter how trivial they might have seemed, and provided me with a wealth of information about the car’s history, the work that had been done on it, and what I could expect in terms of maintenance and upkeep. It was clear that Richard wasn’t just selling a car; he was sharing a piece of automotive history, and he wanted to ensure that it went to someone who would appreciate and care for it.

When the Porsche finally arrived, it was exactly as Richard had described. As with any classic car, it wasn’t perfect—there were a few quirks and minor issues that needed attention. But that’s part of the charm and challenge of owning a classic vehicle. The key to a successful experience lies in having a seller who is as passionate and knowledgeable as Richard, someone who is not only honest about the car’s imperfections but also genuinely interested in helping you navigate them.

Richard is one of the most professional individuals in the industry. A great person, a great salesman but, more importantly he offers some of the best after sales support I have ever experienced when buying a car - he is honest, responsive and very knowledgable. Richard has a huge passion for what he does for a living and this really shines through in the quality of his cars and the high levels of sevice he offers. Thank you...I love the GT Turbo and will certainly buy from RetroClassic again.
